starve 本來是「動詞」,
這句子加了 ing 就變成「形容詞」,
用來形容 children , 意思就是: 受饑餓的小孩
英文有很多這類的文法: 動詞+ing 變成 形容詞
比如:
running man (跑步的人)
smiling face (微笑的臉)
worrying mother (擔憂的母親)
dying animals (垂死的動物)
