全球首部活腦機器人 有助對抗腦部退化疾病

英國瑞丁大學的科學家今天推出機器人高登。他的神經灰質由人工培植的老鼠神經元縫合而成、及提供動能。
首席研究人員接受「法新社」訪問時表示，這項開創性研究探究了生物腦與人工智慧間逐漸消失的界線，並可能揭開記憶與學習形成基礎的奧秘。
機器人主要設計者、瑞丁大學教授華瑞克表示：「這項目的是為了瞭解記憶儲存在生物腦中的實際過程」。
他說，觀察神經細胞在發送電子脈衝後與神經網絡結合的過程，或許有助科學家對抗破壞腦部的神經退化性疾病，像是阿茲海默症與巴金森氏症。
